Biography
Alan G. Geffin is the Managing Partner of the firm and a highly respected trial attorney with decades of experience representing individuals and families in complex business disputes. Admitted to The Florida Bar in 1988, he has dedicated his practice to zealously advocating for his clients.
Mr. Geffin concentrates his practice in commercial litigation representing a diverse group of clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to sole proprietors. He has tried cases throughout Florida and in various international forums including: London, Geneva, Paris, Zurich and St. Lucia. Mr. Geffin has represented clients in various commercial claims including: breach of contract, enforcement of restrictive covenants, partnership disputes and business torts.
A graduate of the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. 1988, B.A. 1985), Mr. Geffin distinguished himself as an Editor of the Law Review, Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, member of the Bar and Gavel Honor Society, winner of the First Year Moot Court Competition, and a multiple Dean's List honoree. He also served as a judicial intern for Judge Natalie Baskin of the Third District Court of Appeal.
Mr. Geffin is admitted to practice in Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida. He has earned the prestigious AV Preeminent® Rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest peer-review rating awarded for legal ability and ethical standards.
Active in the legal community, Mr. Geffin is a member of The Florida Bar, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Federal Bar Associations. Conversant in Spanish and French, he serves a diverse range of clients throughout Florida and beyond.
